Full Dentures
Full Dentures are artificial devices constructed to replace all the teeth in both jaws or one jaw, and which are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity.
Full dentures can help patients for :
- Mastication (chewing)
- Aesthetics (beauty)
- Phonetics (clear speech)
- Self-Esteem
Complete dentures can be either conventional or immediate.
Conventional dentures: Made for placement in the mouth about 8 to 12 weeks after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has begun to heal. This is the recommended denture.
Advantage: Dentures require no adjustments to fit properly.
Disadvantage: The wearer will be without teeth during the healing period.
